About Us
We are located in Popoyo beach, Salinas de Nahualapa community, Tola municipality, 42 km from the city of Rivas, being a privileged place for being one of the best surfing beaches in Nicaragua. The sea lulls incessantly, the sand next to us is always available for a foot massage and the sea to heal life. We are pure energy and a lot of tranquility.
In addition to the room service, we offer the Restaurant and Bar service, characterized by the flavor of our Nicaraguan food and drinks to promote our culture and every day, we offer more services to our customers such as: surf lessons, tours in tourist places in the area, horseback riding, massages, among other new experiences, that make our clients disconnect from the routine and experience something different in this small rural community.
OUR HISTORY
This establishment was originally built as the beach house of a Canadian who set his eyes on Nicaragua from his first visit, and is attracted to Popoyo even more for being an indigenous community, since some of his experiences have been working in his country on different projects for the progress of Indigenous communities, and that is why it gives him a different concept instead of just being the beach house he decides to build a Bar and Restaurant space on the ground floor for people of the community can undertake how to run their own business and so they keep 50% of the profits and the other 50% are reinvested in local improvements. Without imagining that this destination would become a magical place of accommodation years later, building the first 3 rooms for that backpacker client who arrives without a reservation, the following year motivated by visits and reviews from clients decides to build a second building for a middle class and always under the administration of people from the area to gain experience in managing this small business.
Today we have 6 rooms that have evolved during these 3 years as a hostel, complying with quality standards in service and experience that guarantee a magnificent and friendly stay, and a ranch with hammocks where clients can relax and listen to the sound of the sea has also been built. and they can also have merely contact with nature.

L'hostel Cafe Cerveza est super sympathique. Son emplacement est idéal pour le surf ou tout simplement pour profiter de la plage! Le propriétaire est particulièrement acceuillant tout autant que les dames qui y travaillent. La nourriture est excellente et également à bon prix. Le déjeuner est également inclus. C'est un endroit idéal pour ceux qui voyagent avec un budget restreint ! Je recommande fortement cette auberge!

My friends and I came here for a couple drinks the other day while we were staying at a nearby hostel. Awesome staff and location, and the owner JC was super friendly and helpful. There was even dancing and karaoke. Definitely recommend stopping in for a drink and/or meal!!!

Very nice small hostel right on the beach near Popoyo. Sandra is so friendly and a wonderfull host! We stayed 4 nights and really enjoyed everything about it. The food in the restaurant is very good and not expensive. Thank you Sandra, I hope we come back sometime!

What a great spot! My friends and I stopped in at Cafe and Cervesa for a drink and ended up spending the rest of the evening there with a great crowd of both locals and other travelers! We even met the owner, JC, who went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Breakfast the next morning was delicious, too, and the staff was incredibly friendly! I will certainly visit again if I’m in the area.
